Final Perspective on the Revolution

Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 11:19-26; Revelation 5:1-10

Introduction

It has been an amazing study of missional living this Summer.  Today, in the last lesson of this series, we take a few steps back in order to gain a “big picture” perspective on God’s mission, from its beginning to its end.

I.  The Revolution Announced

From its beginning, Jesus’ revolution was to be carried out by average people…foot soldiers like you and me.  It becomes no only our reason for living, but our way of living as well: every place we go, in all we do, we are making disciples.

II.  The Revolution Begun

The revolution was born out of persecution, spread because of persecution, and will thrive in persecution to the very end.  God is still extremely active in accomplishing His mission.  As He moves, He gives us assignments to join Him.

III. The Revolution Concluded

The ending in clear: this revolution ends after having spread successfully through every nation and every people group in the world.
