I. The Power of the Spirit
Luke has consistently pointed out that actions for the Lord were preceding and accompanied by the filling of the Spirit.
II. He Found the Place
In addition to being filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus had a thorough understanding of the scripture.
III. Bound for Jubilee!
Jesus’ ministry, and by His example ours, is to those in need. Jubilee makes provisions for the needy to be cared for. When we look on the lost as carrying those same burdens, we should be compelled to give them aid.

Your Place in God’s Story

Your part in God’s story will draw upon all of your previous experiences…it took 30 years to prepare Jesus for His most significant ministry.
Understanding your part in God’s story requires a prayer life on your part…one in which you learn to listen as much as talk.
Your most significant role(s) is/are most likely to come out of a wilderness experience, i.e., a difficult, painful season in your life.
Jesus’ 30 years of studying scripture made it easier for Him to find direction in and through God’s Word.
When you have a sense of assignment from God, let your church or Sunday School class or small group know about it. This provides not only prayer support but some sense of accountability and encouragement.
