I.  The Women: A Word

The same women who followed Jesus faithfully were the first on the scene to tend to the body.  Stunned to find an empty tomb they were first confused, but then the angel reminded them of Jesus’ own words.  They remembered and believed.

II.  Emmaus:  A Meal

Two men, witnesses to the horror of the crucifixion, were recounting the events of the past several days.  Met by Jesus, the men brought him into their conversation.  Like the women, Jesus reminded the men also of his own words, but it wasn’t until the evening meal that their eyes were opened.

III.  The Disciples:  The Body

Jesus appeared to the disciples, and they too had their doubt.  Before their eyes were opened Jesus showed them the wounds, asked to be fed, and shared scripture.

Things You Should Know About the Resurrected Christ

I.  He Does What He Says He Will Do

What does it mean to you that we serve a Savior who has never lied and is never wrong?  The resurrected Christ is the embodiment of God’s Word.

II.  He Wants to Be Known

However deep is your desire to know Christ and His will for you, His desire to be known by you is deeper and greater.  He has gone to unimaginable lengths to make it possible for us to know him better.

III.  He Changes Us

There are ways through which only the resurrected Christ can open our minds, give us understanding, and transform us.  If knowing Christ is our daily objective, then Spiritual transformation is the lasting result.
